BASIC HANDGUN SAFETY COURSE

Want to take the first steps in owning a handgun? 

 

KMConcepts Handgun Safety Course meets Hawaii's Training Requirements for acquiring a handgun, and is taught by certified instructors. 

 

This course is a basic introduction to firearms, and will cover a variety of topics to help you understand the inner workings, proper use and shooting of your handgun. With an emphasis on safety and marksmanship this course is designed to ensure that students are capable of safely operating and using a Handgun.

Children age 17 and below must be accompanied by an adult and Children 9-12 years may fire .22 caliber only. Not all classes are equal , we urge you to always vet your instructors.

What can you expect from this course?

A Gradual progression from lightweight low recoiling firearms to modern defensive firearms. Safety is the number one priority and students may choose to stay on a particular firearm if they want to. Please understand that this class although not strenuous may require some physical effort.

Additional Class Information

The second half of the instructional course will be held at: Koko Head Shooting Complex.  Please meet us at the last covered structure on the right hand side at the complex.

  • Eye Protection (Sunglass / Prescription Glasses)

  • Ear Protection (also available for purchase at our store)

  • Covered / Closed Toe Footwear

  • Notetaking Material

USEFUL BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • Drinks/Snacks for during class session

  • Jacket/Sweater (In case you get cold during instructional period)

  • Hat
